Military Fiber Kit's mission is to provide installers with the practical knowledge and experience needed to successfully install and test fiber optic cables and systems. During this course, installers will terminate a variety of standards based connectors including both the ST and SC connector types or styles and will be trained in performing mechanical splices. They will test and troubleshoot using a Light Source and Power Meter and a Visual Fault Locator (VFL). They will also be introduced to the principles of fusion splicing and the use of an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). This course has been tailored to address the requirements of both military and commercial applications. Our goal is to empower installers with practical hands-on experience with the ability to successfully terminate and test a hermaphroditic connector.
None, our instrutors are 3M factoty trained technicians and we are sensitivce to your needs by providing industry standard certification. This 3 day course qualifies the installer with the certifications needed.
Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) testing is optional; Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) exams are optional; it's a great opportunity to become certified that is concurrent with the training. On day 3 of the training, we will test the student on the ETA Certified Fiber Optic Installer exam for $150.00.

This course is applicable not only for the technician but also all who are involved in the design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, or fiber optic system maintenance, technicians, system analysts, design engineers, managers, telecommunication professionals, etc.
Students are offered the opportunity for taking the Electronics Technician Assocition (ETA) Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFO) exam for an additional fee of $150.00 upon successful completion, the installer will be certified as an ETA Certified Fiber Optics Installer.
